The Community, Library, Seniors and Scouts volunteer program engages volunteers across multiple divisions including the Public Library, the Senior Center, and Scouts volunteers.
Huntington Beach Public Library's Volunteer Program
The Huntington Beach Public and Cultural Center welcomes, empowers and enriches our community by providing innovative and traditional library services that inspire and encourage transformation and growth.
The library system is fortunate to have such dynamic volunteers to help maintain the library’s status as a first-class cultural and educational community resource facility. You are highly valued and respected; we acknowledge the commitment volunteers make for the betterment of the community.
What We Do

Senior Center's Volunteer Program
The Senior Center in Central Park is a vibrant hub of activity promoting optimal aging. Volunteers and staff welcome visitors for classes, wellness activities, socialization, travel, nutrition, and other programs. The Center hosts special events including concerts, dances, luncheons, and wellness lectures several times a year. In addition to active aging, Social Services such as Care Management, Home Delivered Meals, and Transportation provide direct services to support aging within the community. The Center offers a wide variety of opportunities with support from nearly 400 volunteers each year.
What We Do
Volunteer efforts are an integral part of the Senior Center in Central Park and help in a variety of aspects from program support, leading classes, and events to nutrition support, meal delivery, transportation, and so much more.

Scout Volunteer Programs
Scouts have provided a wide array of projects throughout the City of Huntington Beach. We work with young members of society in fulfilling their civic duties, giving back to their communities, and completing their badge, Eagle or Gold Scout requirement. If you have a project in mind, please complete an application and submit it for review and approval.
